Great fun Old Time Jazz. Not too difficult and students enjoy it a great deal. Great way to let students practice swing style.

TECHNICAL AND MUSICAL CHALLENGES:
There is a challenging Snare drum solo which can be altered to fit the skill level of the soloist or can be improvised on a drum kit. The first clarinets have a passage that is rather high for a beginning player and needs to be played with a controlled, centered tone. Although for the woodwinds and brass there is nothing of technical difficulty, the entire band needs to play in a swing style.
PERCUSSION REQUIREMENTS:
Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Suspended Cymbal
