This beautiful melody is best known as a hymn. It was originally a British folk song that Sullivan (of Gilbert and Sullivan fame) reharmonized and adapted for church use.
This arrangement is a departure from the usual setting.
It calls for technical expertise and warm, lyrical playing from all the woodwind and brass in the band.
